Color Science

Our cross-brand matching uses the CIEDE2000 (Delta E 2000) formula—the industry standard for measuring perceptual color differences. This ensures that when we say two colors from different brands are equivalent, the match is scientifically verified.

Data Accuracy

Color values are sourced from manufacturer-published specifications. LRV values come from manufacturer technical data sheets. We continuously verify and update our data to maintain accuracy. PaintDB is not affiliated with any paint manufacturer—we are an independent reference resource.
